Hi, my name is Chris Ammen (and this is my wonderful family), and I’m the founder of Kaleidoscope. For over 15 years, I have served as a Kid’s Pastor. Kaleidoscope was borne out of my experience teaching the kids in my church and my own four children. Our kids love storybook Bibles and they are so helpful until kids are around 7-8 years old. By that time, they have grown tired of the same handful of stories and are ready to experience more of the story of God’s grace. To this point, the next step is a “kids’ Bible.” But these are usually nothing more than a high school reading-level translation with colorful illustrations. It’s at this point that many kids begin to lose interest in spiritual things. Kaleidoscope was designed to fill that gap. Over the next 8 years, we are producing every book of the Bible in single volumes at a kid-friendly level while skipping over very little content. We hope you’ll try out a volume or two and fill your bookshelves with the good news of the Gospel.
