This book is so foundational to understanding the rest of scripture and I'm so thankful my children have been able to grow in the understanding of the themes in Exodus and larger metanarrative of scripture.
The children's books that tell the story of Exodus that I am familiar with tell the story from the perspective of Moses. While Moses is central, the accounting is from the Great I AM. This book points to how God provided everything because He is the Great I AM! My favorite section is always the Kaleidoscope Corner in these books. Oh yes, I also learned something from reading this book!
We are reading a kaleidoscope book at bedtime usually a chapter a night. We have loved going through the Exodus story. There were a few bits of the story that the kids didn’t know about so we were able to go to the Bible and read more about it. Highly recommend!
